Artifacture is a creative studio in Dallas offering design services, laser cutting, laser engraving, printing, and fabrication using various methods and materials. Photography by Misty uses Artifacture’s services for business cards that are objectively the coolest I’ve ever seen. I was sent to pick up the latest refill order, which allowed me to meet with Michael and Shane (and their darling cats) who provided a tour of the facility. Tours are available to anyone during open hours so long as it is scheduled in advance - I highly recommend stopping by!

The workspace is full of creations past, including a Loch Ness monster from an order for a mini golf course. It felt like being in Alice in Wonderland. Shane did a wonderful job of showcasing finished products while providing the order specifics, means of operation, and even historical background on some pieces!

Everything is made in-house, which means I got to see everything from equipment to the plethora of materials used for the various products. As a curious person who loves to know how things work, it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience to hear detailed explanations of the mechanics behind many of Artifacture’s creations. I am excited to see what the future holds for this gem of a company.
