How much space do you need to set up for headshots?

Though we prefer to have more space, 10' x 10' is manageable. Regardless, please scout out a location prior to our arrival.

How much do we pay for editing?

At Photography by Misty, you pay nothing for edits. Why? Because we believe why charge more from something everyone wants.

Should we expect an additional invoice for things such as usage, set-up and travel fees?

Goodness no. Well, maybe travel fees, but only if it more than an hour's drive. Otherwise, we consider it the cost of doing business. While many photography companies charge usage and set-up fees, we consider that a slimey way of doing business. Once we deliver your final images, they are yours to use as you wish and for as long as you would like. Sure, they'll become outdated in a few years, but that's your business. It's not Photography by Misty's concern nor should it be the concern of any other photography company. We, of course, would appreciate you coming back for more. The first time we heard about set-up fees, it was perplexing. Setting up to take professional pictures is part of the process. Also, at Photography by Misty, we pay the credit card processing fees. It's the cost of doing business.

What should we wear?

At Photography by Misty, we are often asked what color looks best. Choose a color that gets you compliments when you wear it.

How does everyone get their headshots?

Do we need to have good lighting and a white wall?

We bring the professional lighting, which will overpower any office lighting. Ands, while we do like a great environmental backdrop, not all companies are on board with that look. If you're not sure, let's chat. We also have a variety of backdrops from which you can choose, we can also match an already-established backdrop or order one with enough advance notice.
