From those rich in area history to those with monstrous ballrooms and those teetering on Michelin Guide status, hotels supporting corporate events have as much personality as the events themselves.
And that's why yours truly was curious to know what was happening with with the recent facelift a Park Cities hotel.
When your Dallas-centric hotel is located at the corner of North Central Expressway and Mockingbird, why not have a little fun, and call it Hotel Mockingbird.
Bird watching can be accomplished throughout the hotel. However, no need to worry, it is more whimsy than a scene out of “The Birds.” Unique art dons every aspect of this larger-than-life nest. And having a scavenger hunt of sorts may be just as entertaining for adults as it is for the kiddos.
Hotel Mockingbird is more than a prime location. It may be across Central Expressway from SMU, walking distance to eclectic shopping and dining at Mockingbird Station, a 7-minute walk to a DART station and five miles from Love Field. But it is also perfect for corporate events during the week and family travelers on weekends.
According to Google reviews, HM mixes up some fabulous drinks and delish eats, which are both imperative to a stellar national sales meeting as well as other corporate events.
Big events can also be exhausting for both the planners and attendees. And not every hotel invites attendees to unwind alone after a long day of speakers, breakouts and happy hours.
From a cool pool to home-like suites, Hotel Mockingbird's sigh-of-relief options are more than just a bar. A backyard patio? Yup. And, let's not forget an area to sweat it out.
While mental breaks may not rank high on corporate investors' event priorities, Hotel Mockingbird's other VIAmmenties will ensure them they are getting their ROI. Check it out below: a 6,204-square foot ballroom, accommodating up to 700 guests. And six breakout rooms range from 384 to 1,938 square feet.
This Dallas-centric home to corporate events, both in decor and location, also gives a nod to Dallas' not-always-clean-and-pristine history. A nightcap at the in-house speakeasy, aptly named “Raven,” provides just the right ambience for time alone or for a personal conversations.
This beauty of a hotel may be a Marriott property (with the bonuses of being a Pepsi-pour & the chance for your guests to use their Bonvoy benefits), but there is nothing highly commercial about HM.
Stop by to peruse the property, then book an official tour with someone on the events team. And if, for some reason, this is not the perfect venue for your next business event, reach out to Misty with Photography by Misty. Our team is very familiar with the Dallas-area hotel scene and would love to chat through your vision with you. No pressure, we promise.
