There is typically one hour from the time the ceremony ends to the time you're introduced into the reception. During the time, guests enjoy cocktails while we take group portraits, family portraits, the wedding party and, of course, the bride & groom.
Having a detailed family portrait shot list helps us take these portraits in an efficient manner while allowing us to have enough time for your husband-and-wife portraits. I've included a go-to list, however feel free to revise it accordingly.
Think about the what your post-ceremony timeline looks like and how many people are in your family to be construct your list. Any second cousins or distant relatives can wait to have their pictures taken during the reception. However, if you'd like a two-hour time gap between the ceremony and reception, we can certainly accommodate an extended list.
